Past due posts....continued.

Last time we left our characters, they were leaving Dallas and headed west towards the setting sun....

Lately I've been totally captivated by funky clouds...we've been fortunate for the past several weeks funky clouds have been EVERYWHERE!!! Photos included are from the trip to Gallup,N.M.
Steph and I hiked to the top of Pyramid Trail in Red Rock Park and all I had to photograph the hike was my camera phone...did NOT do the scenery justice, just check out our shadows on the way down.

Contest results...

As some of you know by now I no longer work for the Lampasas Dispatch Record...THANK GOD!!!! The contest season is almost over with two associations down and one to go. The images that I busted my butt shooting for them, with a lack of appreciation shown to me by the mgmt. of LDR, were sent to three press associations around Texas. Trust me, I'm not bitter, just in shock about how things ended with the "Magoo Crew," I just let my images (and awards) prove my point.

South Texas Press Association - 1st in news and feature photos ( news photo - "Fire" feature photo - "Jim Looney delivering his loop") I also received an HM for sports, I'm not sure which photo it was but I know what game it was from...I was lucky to receiver an HM (those images were not that good).

Texas Press Association - 1st in feature and 2nd in news photos. Feature - "Jim Looney" and "Laser Lauren" News - "Fire"

The next press association to hand out awards is the West Texas Press Association, probably in a few weeks..I'll keep you posted.

OKAY, OKAY, OKAY...

Thanks for all the phone calls, emails and the nudges... It's been a whirlwind past few weeks. After getting somewhat settled in N. Georgia we headed to Jackson, MS for the Memorial Day weekend, not much exciting except a pretty descent wreck. Everyone was okay. Left Jackson and on our way to Gallup, NM had a lay-over in Dallas for a couple of days to visit my Nanny and Papa...was a good visit. Had a great storm push through the area the night before we left, but didn't get a single drop of rain.
Papa loved hanging out with the great grand pups.
