Tennessee.

What can I say about Tennessee,... that's about it. Usually when Steph and I are working on of these events I try to ease about early in the morning to see what interesting things I can find. Today I found something not too interesting, but just enough. I seem to have this ability to catch ropers, and/or "cowboys," right at the moment when they discharge snuff-filled saliva, a.k.a. SPIT. I have at least 20 images or so, anyway, what caught my attention this morning was not this guy spitting but the logo on the front of his VERY used trailer, the guy in the background spitting was just and "added bonus."

We are finished today and will head home this afternoon, hopefully. Hope everyone had a stellar weekend.

Good times, good times.

Wreck of the weekend

Here we sit on Easter night reflecting on the VERY BUSY weekend and all I can think of is, "The best wreck of the weekend was on Friday!!" Normally I don't wish upon the injury of others and their equine, but it always makes for great photos when a good wipe out occurs. Of course you don't know if any injuries have occurred until after the fact, but the one one Friday was pretty good. It was during the Open (pro guys and/or roping for a living), the steer cut the Head horse off and KA-POW, down they went, horse and rider. Incidentally, the Header, (rider on the horse with its feet in the air), his name is Gabe. Weird, and becoming more common. Anyway, there happened to be an usual number of wrecks this weekend, which is good for me,(photographically speaking of course) and fortunately nobody got hurt, horses either. Mostly all a wreck consists of is a horse looses his footing, trips, falls, tumbles and makes the rider CRAP HIS PANTS!!!

Overall it was a good weekend. We are staying the night in West Monroe and hitting the road before the crack of dawn, have our black lab "Woody" looked at (growth on his tail) in Dallas, head home, shoot 3/4 of the day on Tuesday, leave for Franklin Tennessee on Wednesday. Boy oh boy, you gotta love all this travel especially at $4 plus a gallon for the "cheap" gas.

Everyone take care and we will talk to you soon.

Good Times, Good Times.

Just Checking in.

We're here in Louisiana. We pulled in around 11:00 last night, safe and sound. Now that we have had MANY cups of coffee I'm off to the arena to hang strobes and various other B.S.
I'll update later with the days Shenanigans.

Rain,.....Finally!!

Well after 36 hours of waiting for severe weather, we finally got about 2 inches only. It's better than zero inches. Hope everyone had a good St. Patty's Day. We are on the road again starting tomorrow, if we are able to get out of here and not get bogged down in the mud. We are heading to Louisiana then Tennessee. We will keep everyone posted on the on road.

Just F.Y.I check out europac.net and go to the article titled "Viva La France" It's a very informative article, if the current and future state of our economy strikes you.

Good times, good times!!

Good weekend

Well since the Friday afternoon activities are just a memory, we reflect on the weekend, it was very relaxing. Finally!! After washing the cedar smoke stink out of my camera and strap, all is well. Saturday morning I traveled to Killeen for the State Powerlifting Meet - Girls. HOLY CRAP!! I'm all for equality but DAMN, some of these chicks were bigger than me. What makes a high school girl say, "Hey, I want squat 500lbs." Whatever. I did get to witness a state record, some girl from someplace I can't remember, probably because I am in awe over the feat, benched 300lbs. WHOA!!! Want her to back me up in a bar fight.

Anyway, the rest of the weekend was nice. It looks like Joon has attached herself to someone. I hope everyone had a great weekend. March Madness starts on Thursday, GO HOGS GO!!

Good Times, Good Times!!

Eventful start to the weekend!!

What a day we have had!! Since we have been going strong during our two week stay here, we were looking forward to "taking the day off." Not so.

The day started of with a nice walk with the pups, finishing the soon to be garden, it was also a day of beauty at Chez Lobo for all five dogs. (They all got bathed) Just when I was settling in for the early evening, Stephenie, whom was outside preparing saddle on of the ponies, barged in and screamed FIRE!!!! We take that word pretty serious around here considering we came as close as you can get to losing everything because of a fire. I couldn't believe it since I was just outside not more than 10 minutes prior. Walked to the front door, and sure enough, BLACK SMOKE!! I had been talking to my Mom on the phone and probably gave her heart failure, sorry about that. Put the wee ones away, grab my cameras and truck keys and away we went. It was nothing all that exciting, just your typical brush fire that scorched about 700 plus acres. Man, it was all over the place. First, Steph dropped me off smack-dab in the middle of it. Thank you dear!! For a brief moment she had to be my eyes. I wandered off into what I thought was going to be a shortcut to where the good stuff was going to be, turned out to be a dead end. As I started to back track my phone rang, Steph is screaming at me to get back to my original location. Just as she said that I hear some popping and think, well you can imagine what I think. You see, I was about 20 feet down at the bottom slopping hill with a row of cedar trees halfway down the hill with a line of flames headed towards me. You see way my beloved was a little STRESSED. Anyway, someone had parked their truck at the top of this hill, still running, and the flames were blazing straight for it, I thought to myself, "You need to get in and drive to a safe place." This vehicle was the biggest piece of crap ever!!! The position it was parked in order for it to be moved reverse was the only option. Done. Then going from reverse to drive the damn thing stalled. HELLO, flames 20 feet from me!! Got out, tanker truck got there in time, P.O.S. saved and all is well.

Very exciting way to start the weekend,YEEEEHAWWWW!!!!

The photos include the fire chief who drove me around for a bit, and then some goober tries to put out a flatbed trailer loaded with cedar logs with half a can of Coke.

All is well here in Loco Lobo land. Hope you all have a great weekend, I know we will.

-Good times, Good times!!

Heading home.

I apologize for not keeping everyone updated on the Florida excursion, but I admit I was lazy. Here we are in Lake City Florida stopped for the night, hopefully to recharge enough to make it through a brutal day of driving tomorrow. I love coming out here, but never look forward to the drive. NSB was good, not a long enough visit though, unfortunately it never is. :~( Looking forward to catching up with everyone when we get back to town, WOW, a whole two weeks there!!! Freakin' Sweet!!
